Yesterday I was reading Your Soul’s Plan by Robert Schwartz, where Schwartz was commenting about his many conversations with psychics. the one piece of advice that came up over and over again was compassion. The one thing we are sent here to learn, more than anything else, is compassion, for both ourselves and others.
What if the answer to every question was compassion? What if the right thing to do in any situation is the thing that is most compassionate? What if we could look at every situation and see that we were brought into that situation to learn compassion?
What if everyone who has wronged us in the past only needed us to be compassionate? I’m thinking of recent events for me — what if, instead of sadness and feeling betrayed, I felt compassionate for those who had caused me to suffer?
