Marianne Williamson has a wonderful speech about our purpose for being on this earth; it’s part of one of her seminars on A Course In Miracles.
We’re here “to give and receive love.”
“You might think you’re going to a meeting to close a deal, but you’re actually there to give and receive love. You think you’re going to meet with your accountant, but actually, you are going there to give and receive love. You think you going out on date, but, well… you actually probably do know what you’re going to do there!”
Funny, but true. What If every interaction, no matter how difficult, painful, boring, unwanted, unplanned tedious–or exciting and anticipated–is your opportunity to give and receive love?
It makes a problem situation a little less daunting, doesn’t it? It softens your heart a bit, and puts you in a mindset to be receptive.
In a painful situation with a family member, I can realize I am only there to give an receive love. Nothing more. My only job is to give and receive love. Try it.

Yes….makes things much simpler….IF one can be mindful in the moment and remember.
That’s it. Thank you.
